Ward crowned queen at Clarksburg

Those chosen for this year’s basketball homecoming court at Clarksburg High School were recognized Friday night during pregame ceremonies.

Senior Macy Ward, daughter of Chad Ward and Jaime Walker, was crowned as homecoming queen.

Macy has played basketball with the Lady Rockets since her eighth-grade year and serves as editor with the school yearbook staff.

Macy was escorted by Spencer Webb, son of Kevin and Tera Webb, and she received her crown from last year’s homecoming queen, Victoria Altom Gooch.

Other members of the homecoming court were:

*Senior Rep. Eryka Yewell, daughter of Eric and Alicia Yewell, escorted by Tristan Donth, son of Nicole Miller.

*Junior Rep. Ashlyn Yarbrough, daughter of Julie Pate, escorted by Jalyn Davis, son of Steven and Tonya Gilbert.

*Junior Rep. Hannah Wood, daughter of Josh and Julie Wood and Joey and Kristi Wood, escorted by Noah Rich, son of Vicki Jones and Danny Rich.

*Sophomore Rep. Sarah Derryberry, daughter of Terry and Kelli Derryberry, escorted by Brandon Pendergrass, son of Lance Pendergrass.
