MILAN, Tenn. – The Bethel volleyball program stayed local with the signing of Milan High School standout Sara Brie Ann Ulrich. Sara is the daughter of Bradley and Angela Ulrich of Milan and will major in Exercise Science or Special Education.
Ulrich had been playing the sport since sixth grade. She started all four years for the Lady Bulldogs in various positions. Sara has played club ball for two years.
Ulrich’s accolades include being named to the all-district and all-region teams. She was named Gibson County Player of the Year. She was also named to the Jackson Sun’s 2022 All-West Tennessee Volleyball Team. Sara received Queen of Aces and Queen of Digs honors.
Off the court Ulrich holds a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the Beta Club, Dawg Pound, softball and Rise Tutoring clubs.
Ulrich feels her biggest strengths are her communication and leadership skills.
Ulrich played for former Bethel standout Rebecca Jobst Paterson.
Coach Starla Cupples commented, “ We had met with and watched Sara play a couple of times. She fits well with the program on all levels. She’s an aggressive defender that will challenge opposing offenses.”
