Virginia Sue Williams

1936-2018

Virginia Sue Williams, 82, of Huntingdon passed away Thursday, September 13 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were held on September, 19 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Daniel and Bro. Tim Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve are Lauren McBride, Andrew Speights, Shaun Williams, Cole Champion, William Speights, Alex Champion and Jackson Champion.

Mrs. Williams was born June 1, 1936 in Walker County, Alabama to the late Howard Jackson Hubbard and Gertrude Alma (Shackelford) Hubbard. She was retired from the U.T. Agriculture Extension Agency and a member of Huntingdon First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Williams and a sister, Betty Bryant.

She is survived by a son, Mike Williams (Zona) of Huntingdon; two daughters, Jennifer Daniel (Larry) of Jackson and Tammy Speights (Jeff) of Stafford, Virginia; a sister, Margaret Xanders of Charlotte, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Lauren McBride, Andrew Speights, Shaun Williams, Cole Champion, William Speights, Alex Champion and Jackson Champion; six great-grandchildren, Lilah Kate McBride, Essie Blair Williams, Liam McBride, Elson Williams, Barrett Champion and Koralyn Cate Speight.
