Toys for Tots provides gifts for over 100 local children

For over a decade, Toys for Tots has been providing Christmas gifts for local children from financially struggling families, and this holiday season was no exception.

This year, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, working in cooperation with the U.S. Marine Corps, presented gifts to a total of 103 children in Carroll County through the Toys for Tots program.

Lt. Jamie Summers, who serves as program coordinator for the county, wanted to thank all those who donated toys, gave monetary donations, or volunteered their time to help make this a special Christmas season for a lot of children who might not have otherwise received any presents.

This is the 11th year that the Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Marine Corps to share the Christmas spirit of giving with children throughout Carroll County.
