Tina M. Smith

Tina M. Smith, 55, of Lavinia, passed away Monday, July 19, at her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 21, at Lavinia Baptist Church with Steve Osborne officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of these arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was born June 17, 1966 in Jackson. She worked for the Milan Army Ammunition Plant and was a member of Lavinia Baptist Church. Later in life she was a beloved bus driver for the West Carroll Special School District, aide at the Carroll County Board of Education, cafeteria staff at West Carroll Special School District and Caregiver at Wesley Fountain. She loved riding motorcycles and horses, dancing and loved being her boys MeMe.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Reba Faye Collins; and paternal grandmother, Murlene Westover.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, John Smith; one daughter, Misty (Michael) Williams of Milan; one son, Zach (Ashley) Smith of Lavinia; her father, James Davidson of Cedar Grove; and one brother Wade (Christa) Davidson of Lavinia. She also leaves four grandsons, Max Tucker, Michael Williams, Jack Longmire, and Maverick Smith; a niece, Kendall (Jeb) Woods; and a nephew, Blake Davidson.
Pallbearers who served were Al Hayes, Kenny Jackson, Scottie Clarke, Dale McCartney, Bobby Sipes, and Tim Sipes. Honorary pallbearers were Wade Davidson, Blake Davidson, Michael Williams, Corbitt Overton, Josh Overton, and Preston Parker.
