Timothy E. Newsome

Timothy Earl Newsome, 68, of Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, April 17, at his home. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 20, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Keith Guinn officiating. Burial followed in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads
Mr. Newsome was born December 9, 1952 in Huntingdon, to the late Earl Ray Newsome and Minnie Sue (Chandler) Newsome. He retired from Cupples J & J Machine Shop in Jackson, as a mechanical designer for 35 years and was a USAF Veteran from 1971 – 1975.  His hobbies included being an avid woodworker and spending time with his grandsons, which he loved dearly.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Janet Hammett; and one brother, Michael Newsome.
He is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Jean Maddox Newsome; two sons, Jeremy (Shahreen) Newsome of El Dorado, AR, and Mark (Angel) Newsome of Lavinia; and one brother, Kevin (Shannon) Newsome of McLemoresville. He also leaves three grandsons, Nolan Newsome, Asher Newsome, and Baylor Newsome.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to West Tennessee Health Care, Cerebral Palsy Division at WTH.org or Wounded Warrior Project.
