Three county towns to receive CDBG grants

Senate District 24 will be receiving over $4.5 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD), according to state Senator John Stevens.

These grants are awarded to local governments and are designed to assist cities and counties with infrastructure needs to improve community livability, sewer systems and housing.

Three Carroll County towns are among the towns that will be up for the rewards.

They include: $248,110 to Atwood for sewer system improvements, $102,338 for Hollow Rock to improve fire protection services and $526,435 to Huntingdon for sewer system improvements.
