Thomas R. McCord

1930-2021

Thomas Roger McCord, 91 of Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, December 23 at his home. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 26 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Chase Sanders officiating. Burial services were held on Monday, December 27 at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. McCord was born January 19, 1930, in Jackson, to the late William Thomas and Nancy (Rogers) McCord. He worked as a machinist for Mectronics, was a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ, and was a lifetime membership of Clarksburg Ruritan Club. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife; Joyce Alene McCord, five brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years; Juanita McCord, two daughters; Paula Pulley (James) of Jackson, Samatha Hughes (Bill) of Rutherford, two step daughters; Susan Parker (Joe) of Cedar Grove, LeaEtta Stokes (Steve), of Huntingdon, one son; Thomas W. McCord of Medina, three step-sons; Danny Haywood (Gail), Patrick Haywood (Sherry), both of Huntingdon, and Neal Haywood (Tammy) of McKenzie. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren

Pallbearers who will serve are William Coleman, Tim McCord, Cody Smith, Caleb Haywood, Garrett Haywood, and Joe Parker.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to either Vanderbilt Children Hospital, 2200 Children’s Way, Nashville, TN 37232 or LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Ave, Memphis, TN 38103.
