Thomas A. Bridges

Thomas Allen “Tommy” Bridges, 88, of Hollow Rock, passed away Friday Sept. 4, at his residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday Sept. 9, at 10 a.m., in the chapel of the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Herdert Ene officiating. Burial followed at Davis Chapel Cemetery near Huntingdon.

Mr. Bridges was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Sawyers Mill, to the late Val-Gean N. Bridges and Grace A. Matlock Bridges. He was retired Chief of Police for Town of Hollow Rock, a retired security guard for Baptist Memorial Hospital and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by a sister, Geraldine Grooms, and a brother Junior Bridges.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Margie Gail Crider Bridges; six daughters, Debra Waters, of Camden, Karen Boone, of Lexington, Paula McGill, of Humboldt, Kim Bridges, of Dickson, Lisa Mullins, of Hollow Rock, and Kristy Emerson, of Paris; five sons, Gary Bridges, of Camden, Tom, Scotty and Chris Bridges, all of Bruceton, and Robert Bridges, of Paris; a sister Elizabeth Booth, of Orlando, Fla; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers who served were Rocky Presson, Guy Hardin, Bobby Brotherton, Randy King, Brian Crider, and Steve Himes.
