Teddy E. Finley

Teddy Eugene Finley, 76, of McKenzie, passed away Tuesday, August 11, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 16, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon with John Forgy officiating. Burial followed at the Finley Cemetery.

Mr. Finley was born April 4, 1944, in McKenzie, to the late James S. Finley and Maxie W. Pryor Finley. He was a farmer, a member of the McKenzie Church of Christ, served on the Carroll County CO-OP Board of Directors and started the Macedonia Fire Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley A. Shappell, two brothers, James W. Finley and John T. Finley.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy McFadden Finley; a daughter, Jennifer F. (Brian) Pratt, of McKenzie;  two sons, Jeffery L. Finley, of Huntingdon, and Michael (Heather) Finley, of McKenzie; two sisters, Laura (Robert) Welliver, of Marathon, Fla. and Maxie F. (Sam) Veloz, of Pensacola, Fla; a brother, Bobby (Diane) Finley, of Lansing, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Eugene R. Finley, Janna N. Pratt, Savannah B. Pratt, Austin L. Pratt, Autumn L. Pratt, Kellen M. Finley and Collins C. Finley, two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie R. and Madeline L. Finley.

Pallbearers who served were Jeffery, Michael, and Eugene Finley, Austin and Brian Pratt, and Billy McAttee. Honorary pallbearers were Kellen and Collins Finley, and Janna, Savannah and Autumn Pratt.
