Ten-year-old Jasmin Dodd shops with her mom, Mery Dodd Saturday at Huntingdon Wal-Mart during the Tax Free Weekend. She checks out a dress that she would like to wear to school. The two purchased several school supplies as evidenced in the cart. Jasmin will be a fifth grader at West Carroll Elementary School at Trezevant. She has a ninth grade brother, Anthony, 14, who will be attending West Carroll High School and a seven-year-old brother, Michael, who will be in the second grade at West Carroll Primary School at McLemoresville. Mery said she was appreciative of the fact that sales tax was taken off most everything during the weekend. “Every little bit helps,” she said. The family resides at Cedar Grove.
