State allocations given to local municipalities

The 2020-2021 state budget contained $210.5 million allocation to county and city governments.

The Tennessee General Assembly distributed the money to local governments based on population along with the discretion to determine how to best use the money, including filling budget shortfalls caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The dollars are intended to allow local governments to weather the financial challenges during the coming year caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The county and municipalities received the following allocations that include:

Carroll – $899,491
McKenzie – $150,936
Huntingdon – $114,412
Bruceton – $61,072
Atwood – $50,370
Trezevant- $48,670
Hollow Rock – $44,962
Clarksburg – $38,342
McLemoresville – $37,348
