SHAMROCKS OF SERVICE

Members of the Clarksburg High School Student Council (pictured above) conducted a school-wide service project called Shamrocks of Service for the two weeks leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. Clarksburg students were asked to bring in food and hygiene products to stock the school food pantry. Classes received a shamrock for every five items brought and were encouraged to reach a goal of 20 shamrocks. Over 2,000 items were brought in for families in need. The 10th grade class brought in the most, receiving 76 shamrocks for 380 items. Students discovered the joy of giving is the real gold at the end of the rainbow.
