Ruth Helen Springer

1928 – 2022

Ruth Helen Springer, 93, of Huntingdon passed away Wednesday, February 9 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 12 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Chase Sanders officiating. Burial followed in Sellers Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Springer was born April 15, 1928, in Shiloh to the late Amos and Lizzie (Taylor) Autry. She worked for Publix Shirt Corporation in quality control and was a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ. After her retirement she enjoyed sitting with families. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Henry Springer, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by three daughters; Reba Neely (James), Donna Simmons (Junior), both of Huntingdon, Lisa DePriest (Tim) of Simpsonville, S.C., and one sister; Irene Pinkley of Huntingdon. She also leaves four grandchildren, Kevin Neely (Shanna), Jill Edmondson (Erik), David Simmons (Kelly), Whitney Grimes (Josh), eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Stephanie, Ava, Jack, Lilli, Drake, Sloan, and Abel.

Pallbearers who served were Kevin Neely, David Simmons, Erik Edmondson, Josh Grimes, Hal Boyd, and Michael Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Boyd and Myron Gurley.
