Robert H. Snyder

Robert Howard Snyder, 91, of Amarillo, Tx, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 17, at his home in Amarillo. A service of remembrance was held Sunday, April 4 at Bruceton Funeral Home.
Mr. Robert was born January 17, 1930 in Paris to the late William Howard and Winifred Marie Snyder, of Bruceton. He graduated from Bruceton Central High School, class of 1948. Following graduation, he served in the US Air Force for four years. After a thirty-year career with Santa Fe Railroad Company, he retired as the Executive Secretary to the General Manager there. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo, where he was a faithful member for many years and served as an usher until a few months ago when his health no longer permitted him to continue. Bob centered his life around his faith and family and in return was the center of much love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Berry Snyder; and an aunt, Virginia (Paul) Arnold; and a brother-in-law, Ralph D. Lowe.
He is survived by, his brother, William Darryl (Patricia) Snyder of Rockledge, Fl; a sister, Virginia Carole Low of Nashville; a niece, Paige (Matt) Kisber of Nashville; nephews, Don (Ronda) Lowe of Knoxville, Brad (Tara) Snyder of West Palm Beach, Fl; and great nieces, Kate Kisber, Audrey Snyder; and great nephew, Harrison Snyder, and a special aunt, Marie Snider of Bruceton; as well as many cousins.
