Reggie Lawrence

Reggie Lawrence, 74, of McKenzie, passed away Wednesday, August 25, at his residence. Funeral services were held Monday, August 30 at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home with Dennis Trull officiating. Cremation burial followed at Fodge Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence was born in McKenzie on February 7, 1947, to late Barney Joseph and Wynona Elizabeth Verdell Lawrence. He was a retired grocer and banker, a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church, and the Jaycee’s. He was a former Rotarian and Boy Scouts Leader, a graduate of McKenzie High School 1965, and a graduate of Bethel College.  He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Charlene Goodrich, Elizabeth Sims, and Evangeline Hilliard Worrell; and brothers, Jamie Lawrence, Vernon “Pee Jacket” Lawrence, and Ronnie “Red” Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Marie Carter Lawrence; two sons, Benjie (Nicole) Lawrence and Jonathan (Jeannine) Lawrence; five grandchildren, Morgan (Cordon) Hight, Jack Lawrence, Magnolia Lawrence, Owen Lawrence, and Corrie Lawrence; one great grandchild, Colden Hight; and several nieces and nephews.
