Friends of the Library Week were recognized by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce with a proclamation and ribbon cutting at the Carroll County Library on Oct 11. County Mayor Joseph Butler read the proclamation for the Friends of the Library Week Oct. 16-22. DeeAnn Roome is president of the organization. The group does fundraising for the library, assist in the summer reading program, bought new furniture for the library, apply for grants, and provide help when library staff is out. Cookies and apple cider were served afterwards.
