Coconut Pound Cake

   This is a cake that would be good anytime.

Ingredients and Directions

Cream together 2 cups sugar, 5 eggs, 1 cup Crisco oil (be sure to use oil, not solid).

Add 2 cups self-rising flour, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tbsp. vanilla, 1 tbsp. coconut flavoring and 1 small can flake coconut. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Drizzle for cake: 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup oleo (1 stick), 1/2 cup water and tablespoon flake coconut.

Bring to boil; set aside until cake is done. Pour over hot cake while it is still in the pan.
