Classic Meatloaf
What’s better than a meatloaf flavored with seasonings that makes it a perfect addition to a meal. It’s good for a quick sandwich as well. It’s not real time consuming to make either. It will bring back memories of the meatloaf your mother made as you savor each bite.
Ingredients
2 celery ribs chopped
2 lbs. ground beef
Half of large onion, chopped
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, divided
½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/2 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
l teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Greek powder
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon ketchup
Directions
Place butter in nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onion and cook until tender, about 6 or 7 minutes.
Mix celery, onion, ground beef, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, and next 5 ingredients in bowl. Shape into a loaf; place on a greased broiler rack and put in an aluminum foil-lined broiler pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
For the topping mix the left over 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and paste and 1 tablespoon of ketchup. Pour over the meatloaf and bake 15 more minutes or until the inside is no longer pink. Let cool and serve.
