This delicious recipe is perfect for fall.
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and quartered.
2 cans Crescent Rolls
1 cup butter
1-3/4 cups water
1 cup brown sugar
1-1/4 cups white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup flour
cinnamon to taste
Wrap a crescent roll around each piece of apple. Place in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon together. Melt butter. Add water and vanilla.
Mix with dry ingredients to make syrup. Pour over dumplings. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon to taste and sprinkle on top of dumplings. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
