Ralph Work

1931 – 2022

Ralph Larry Work, 89, of McKenzie passed away Tuesday, February 15 at Baptist Hospital of Huntingdon. Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 20 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Brian Oakes and Jacob Harris officiating. Burial followed at Pinegar Cemetery in Dukedom.

Mr. Work was born October 23, 1932, in Dukedom, to the late Willie and Jackie (Mills) Work. He worked as plant manager in distribution for H. I. S. Company and he was a Korean War Veteran in the Army. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife; Sue Work, a son; Steven Work and grandson; Rowdy Brandon.

He is survived by his wife; Peggy Brandon Work, four sons; Kevin Work (Audra), Brent Work, both of Hollow Rock, Lynn Brandon (Rita) of Atwood, Frank Brandon (Clara) of Jackson, two daughters; Angie Proffitt (Frank) of Rogersville, and Cindy Gateley of Humboldt. He also leaves seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers who served were Lynn Brandon, Kevin Work, Brent Work, Colby Brandon, Justin Fowler, Frank Brandon, and Charles Moon.
