Philip Smith

Philip Smith, 68, of Huntingdon, passed away Monday Oct. 5, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home of Huntingdon with Tim Parish officiating. Burial followed at the Jamison Cemetery.
   Mr. Smith was born Sept. 21, 1952, to the late Harbert Smith and Pauline Tucker Smith. He was a carpenter by trade, a retired supervisor for A & P Construction and employee of Carroll County Highway Department.
   He is survived by his wife, Sherry Smith; a daughter Shannon (Ryan) Cobb, of Clarksburg; a son, Trevor (Jennie) Smith, of Huntingdon; a step-son Dustin (Amanda) Crocker, of Mt. Juliet; six sisters, Madlyn Bolen, of Wildersville, Ella Raye Coleman, and Gale Akins, both of McKenzie, Ellen (Randall) Wooley, of Clarksburg, Judy Parish, of Huntingdon, and Jan (Ricky) Cozart, of Gleason; a brother, Merel (Margie) Smith, of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Bayley and Cooper Cobb, Beau and Emma Smith, and Caleb Crocker.
