Jesus came to fallen man over 2000 years ago to bring peace. Luke 2:13, 14 “and suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and was saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” We have a great need for that peace to reign in the hearts of humanity today at this beginning or sorrows.
David Taylor, a beloved man in Clarksburg, told about his struggle to find this peace with God, prior to his recent death. In his search for peace, the world did offer some temporary peace for the body, but not the soul.
David realized that making peace with God is the most important thing anyone can do. Like the thief on the cross, who got it right just before he left, we have to realize we are sinners, be convicted that we are the guilty one, ask for salvation, repent and believe, then confess Jesus is our Savior.
THANK GOD for David’s testimony! Thank God for my testimony, and all who have the peace of God ruling in their hearts.
Before Jesus left here, he uttered these words in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.”
The thief just prayed in Luke 23:42, 43 “Jesus, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom”, and Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” That invitation is open for all who want to go to paradise. Don’t turn down the greatest invitation that could ever be offered.
