Opal Bonds Hedge, 94, of Hollow Rock passed away Thursday, Sept. 1 at her home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Bruceton Funeral Home with Betty Greer officiating. Burial followed at Mt Carmel Cemetery.
Opal was born on November 14, 1927, in Benton County to the late Willie Garrett Bonds and Lela Mae Presson Bonds. She was a retired LPN for Jackson Clinic in Camden and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Orville Lee Hedge, a son; Jimmie Hedge, two sisters; Betty Jo Welsh and Sally Fowler, and a brother; Ford Bonds.
She is survived by two daughters; Rena Mae Hodge of Bruceton and Lisa Ann Williams of Milan, one son; Gary (Becky) Hedge of Bruceton, three brothers; Wayne Bonds of Madison, Tommy Bonds of Camden, and James Bonds of Jackson, one sister; Kay Nicks of Dickson, 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
