One seriously injured in Atwood wreck

One person was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center following a two vehicle wreck in Atwood Jan. 22 at 6:53 p.m.

Bryan Crowe, 30, of Atwood, had multiple cuts and lacerations as well as a fractured left leg, right hand and wrist, according to a family member. He underwent several hours’ surgery.

According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol a 2019 Toyota Rav-4, driven by Randy Yarbrough, 24, was traveling westbound on Highway 220 and Crowe’s vehicle, a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage, was southbound, when they collided. Yarbrough only received minor injures.

Both vehicles were totally demolished.

After the impact, Crowe’s vehicle exited off the right side edge of the roadway coming to a final rest in a ditch. Yarbrough’s vehicle came to an uncontrolled final rest in the roadway.
