Heavy rainfall floods areas in Huntingdon

A heavy rain in Huntingdon that started about 2 p.m. Tuesday caused high water and flooding in several locations.

The rain fell in torrents. Water was over parts of Buena Vista Road just off Highway 70 located in the city limits. Several yards looked like small lakes.

Nancy Fortner who lives at 1053 Buena Vista Road was seen wading barefoot in her front yard. She lives near the ballpark that is currently under construction.

Williams Street was another area that had a water problem as is the usual custom when heavy rains occur.

Maintenance personnel at Huntingdon School were busy mopping up water that had blown in during the rainfall about the time was closing.
