Nhyle Forrest Williams

1932 – 2022

Nhyle Forrest Williams, 89, of Vale passed away Tuesday, March 1. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 4 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Randy Kurkendall and Nick Bradford officiating. Burial followed at Parkers Crossroads Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born March 12, 1932, in Vale, to the late Boyd Williams and Lennie Forrest. He was the long-time owner of Williams and Son Garage in Vale. He assisted hundreds of people with the restoration of their antique cars and was considered by many to be an encyclopedia of Classic Chevrolets. He served as the first Chief of the Vale Volunteer Fire Department, and devoted years of his life to serving his community and helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years; June, his son; Allan, and grandson; Jacob.

Pallbearers who served were Jeff Ray, Bobby Brotherton, Ted Craig, Roger Shands, Larry Shands, and Matt King.
