News about Union University’s Carroll County students

Union University has named the Carroll County students who have been named to the President’s List, Dean’s List and recent graduates.

Three hundred forty-eight students have been named to the Union University President’s List for the fall 2020 semester.Five county students were among those named and included Penny Bishop and Dillon Simpson of Cedar Grove and Heather Baugh of Huntingdon and John Putman and Anders Rider of McKenzie.The President’s List includes full-time students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average on a four-point scale.

About 3,000 students are currently enrolled.

Two countians are among the 412 students who have been named to the Union University Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester. The students include Matthew Schultz and Austin Spivey of McKenzie. The Dean’s List includes full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average on a four-point scale.   Two hundred eighty-four students graduated from Union University Dec. 12 during fall commencement services of the 196th graduating class at Oman Arena. Ronnie Floyd, president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee, delivered the commencement address. Two countians received their degrees. They included Kendall Davidson of Lavinia who received a Master of Accountancy and Brianna McKinney a Master of Business Administration (online only).
