New officers selected for Skills USA

Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) McKenzie recently held the local SkillsUSA chapter election for 2019-2020 officers. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, instructors and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student take a step further and excel in leadership skills. 

The new officers will be helping with upcoming events such as the Fall Fest, Veterans Appreciation Day, Canned Food Drive and additional TCAT McKenzie activities throughout the year. The elected local officers are as follows: Steven Boone from Huntingdon, enrolled in Welding Technology Dresden Campus; Alex Branson from Martin, enrolled in Welding Technology Dresden Campus; Jesus Barcenas from Trenton, enrolled in Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning Technology (HVAC); John Back from Cedar Grove, enrolled in HVAC; Jordan Hinson from Hollow Rock, enrolled in Administrative Office Technology; Corbin Butler from Martin, enrolled in HVAC; and Jonathan Cash from Atwood, enrolled in HVAC.
