Carroll County young farmers Colton and Gabrielle Moore were named Carroll County’s winners in the Tennessee Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Achievement Award contest. As a diversified row crop farmer, the Moores were named county winner based upon their farm and financial records from 2020, in addition to their leadership on the farm, in their community and in Farm Bureau.
Colton is a 4th generation farmer on his family’s close to 7,000 acre farm in the Westport community. They farm corn, cotton, soybeans and wheat, raise hogs and also recently obtained honey bee hives.
For this achievement, the Moores receive $200 cash from Tennessee Farm Bureau and Service Companies.
