Drugs, Weapon, Resisting
•John David Forrest of Clear Lake Road, McKenzie, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a handgun during the commission of a dangerous felony and resisting arrest after a traffic stop on March 9.
Patrolman Dalton Raspberry initiated a traffic stop on a Maxima driven by Jonathan Rudder. The computer check revealed Rudder’s license was suspended. A consent search of the vehicle produced a digital scale, a crystal-like substance weighing 1.4 grams, a handgun, and 2.0 grams of methamphetamine. The passenger, John David Forrest, claimed ownership and was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail. Rudder was cited for improper display of plates.

License Violation
•Dale Teague of Paris was charged with driving on a revoked license and violation of financial responsibility after a traffic stop on March 12 at 8 p.m.
Officer Mark Boaz stopped Teague’s vehicle after the officer saw the pickup had red and blue blinking lights coming from the wheel wells. A check of his license and insurance status revealed the violations. Teague was cited into court with 10 days to report to Carroll County Jail for booking. He was given a warning about the red and blue flashing lights.

Possession, Disorderly, Vandalism
•A juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct, vandalism and simple possession after two incidents on March 12.
Officer Stacey Bostwick was dispatched to a residence on North Main Street where the juvenile had broken a window and fled the scene in a car on Forrest Avenue. Officer Cody Coleman witnessed a physical fight on Forrest Avenue and discovered the male juvenile was involved. The juvenile was arrested and charged with being under the influence, possession of a green plant material believed to be marijuana. The suspect was transported to the Carroll County jail.

Theft
•Mark Russell, 55, of Elm Street, McKenzie, was charged with theft after he ordered another person to remove from the residence the personal belongings of Jessica Doster, who also resided at the same address.
The incident occurred on March 14. Doster’s personal items were placed on the front porch of the residence. Doster claimed some of her personal items, valued at $1,880, were missing. After interviewing the subjects, Russell was charged with theft because Doster was a resident of the address. According to the report, Russell had been alerted to not remove her items during a previous call on March 13.

Drug Charge
•Skylar A. Rich, 20, of Wesley Drive, Paris, was charged with sale or delivery of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on March 7 at 11 p.m.
Officer Dalton Raspberry stopped Ms. Rich’s vehicle at a local convenience store after the subject interacted on a social media app to make a sale of a half ounce of marijuana for $280. The report indicates Rich changed the meeting place for the exchange from two fast-food businesses to a convenience store, where she was arrested with approximately 37.9 ounces of marijuana.

License Violation
•Zareya Venae Webb, 21, of Oak Street, McKenzie, was charged with driving on a revoked license and disregarding stop signs on March 12 at 2 p.m.
Officer Darren Davis and Sergeant Beauchamp were dispatched to a report of an erratic driver on Park Cove. The officers saw the Ford Explorer disregard two stop signs before making the traffic stop. Webb’s license was revoked and he could not produce proof of insurance while at the scene. He later appeared at the police headquarters and provided the proof of insurance. He was granted custody of the vehicle from the impound lot.
