Mrs. Mary Sue Rush, 96, of Huntingdon passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Life Care Center of Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Simons officiated the service. Interment followed in Roans Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were the grandsons.
Mrs. Rush was born April 4, 1923 in Carroll County to the late Ben and Tessie (Hampton) Gooch. She had retired from the Milan Arsenal and was a member of Roans Creek Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gaylon Rush and brothers, B.R. Gooch, Lynville Gooch, Tommy Gooch
She is survived two daughters, Susan Sanders (Dwight) and Jane Meggs of Huntingdon; four
sons, Ralph Rush (Wanda), Kenny Rush (Nancy) of Huntingdon, Johnny Rush (Mary Ann) of Martin, Tennessee and Michael Rush (Sandra) of Henderson; a sister, Ruth Turner
(Harvey) of Huntingdon; a sister in law, Jean Gooch of Burns; eleven grandchildren; Ken Rush, David (Tonyia) Rush, Stephen (Lacey) Rush, Melody ( Patrick Narod) Rush, Meagan (Marvin) Brown, Mike (Sandi) Sanders, Angie Sanders, Kendall (Jacqueline) Sanders, Garrett Meggs, Cassie Meggs, Celtic (Brittney) Rush; thirteen great grandchildren, Sydney, Carleigh, Asher, Ryne, Leah, Kelsey, Kelli, Josie, Rush, Madison, Brennan, Taitum, Addison and a great great granddaughter, Laiken.
