
Mary Butonne Ellis, 87, of Huntingdon passed away Wednesday, July 27 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were held on Friday, July 29 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Phillip Halter officiating. Burial followed at the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ellis was born August 25, 1934, in Parkers Crossroads, to the late Durward Grant and Ethel (Boyd) Grant. She had retired from the Dana Corporation and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter; Lisa Rimmer, one son; Ronnie Collins and four Brothers; Nolen Grant, Putt Grant, Jack Grant and Buddy Grant.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years; Willard Ellis, one daughter; Vicky Hamilton (Kenny), one son; Skip
Lockhart (Sherry) both of Lexington, two step sons; Craig Ellis of Trenton, Trent Ellis of Huntingdon and one sister;
Shelby Grant of Nashville. She also leaves eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Mickey Grant, Roger Grant, Roy Grant, Lane Lockhart, Chase Williams and Chris Ellis.
