1948-2023
Evie Marie Bedwell, age 91, went to be with her Savior on Monday, January 9, at The Waters in Mckenzie after an extended battle with dementia.
Marie was born in Carroll County, to the late Jessie E. Wheeler and Bertha E. Douglas Wheeler. She was raised and attended school in the Terry Community. In 1948, she married Willie G. Bedwell and lived in Huntingdon, until her death.
Marie retired from Publix Shirt Co. in Huntingdon.
Mrs. Bedwell was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Vernon, Aaron, Woodrow, and Frank Wheeler; sisters, Marion Wheeler, Dorothy Fletcher, Flossie Fuchs, and Rachel Carroll Hays.
Mrs. Bedwell leaves behind two daughters, Mary Ann Bedwell Hays (Billy) of Milan, and Judy Marie Bedwell Howell (Lonnie) of Paris ; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A private family burial will occur in Palmer Shelter Cemetery near Huntingdon, as requested by the deceased. The family appreciates all the prayers and acts of kindness during this time.
