Louis Hearn Bogle, Sr., 98, of Bruceton, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, at his residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Plunk Funeral Home of Camden with John Dawson officiating. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Bogle was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Nashville, to the late Garland M. Bogle and Cora Hearn Bogle. He was the owner and operator of Bogle Motors in Bruceton since 1944 and was a member of the Camden Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James G. and Robert Bogle, and two sisters, his twin, Lucille Love, and Ellen White.
He is survived by his wife of almost 74 years, Jean Fry Bogle; a son, Louis Bogle, Jr., of Canyon Lake, Texas; a daughter, Cheryl Bogle Cordell, of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Chereen (Karl) Fisher, of Austin, and David (Oriana) Cordell, M.D., of Corpus Christi, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Will Fisher, of Cambridge, England, Ben Fisher, of Austin, and Bella Cordell, of Corpus Christi.
