According to figures from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, a total of $612,676.82 in local option sales taxes were collected in Carroll County during the month of July.
That comes out to a net of $605,784.22 after state administrative fees are taken out.
Of the county’s eight municipalities, Huntingdon led in July collections with a net of $251,368.35 with McKenzie coming in second at $184,621.55.
Net collections in other municipalities included $29,559.97 in Atwood, $25,372.95 in Bruceton, $21,144.37 in Clarksburg, $14,176.50 in Trezevant, $6,175.61 in Hollow Rock, and $2,824.30 in McLemoresville.
A net of $70,540.62 was collected in areas of the county outside of municipal limits during the month of July.
