Lindell W. Meggs

Lindell Wayne Meggs, 71, of Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct.18, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon with David McPherson and Ethan Benson officiating.  Burial followed at the Davis Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Meggs was born March 8, 1949, in Huntingdon, to the late Lonnie R. Meggs and Ola B. Patterson Meggs.  He worked as a cast operator at Norandal, USA and was a member of Chickasaw Drive Church of Christ, where he served as an elder. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny (Betty) Meggs.

He is survived by wife of 53 years, Deborah McMinn Meggs; three daughters, Angela (Kurt) Benson, of Paragould, Ark., and Ginger (Pete) Angelos, and Amanda (Brandon) Mayfield, both of Huntingdon; two sisters, Sara (Joe) Glisson, of Huntingdon, and Debbie (Daryl) Bunn, of McKenzie; three brothers, Ray (Polly)  Meggs, Bobby (Ruby) Meggs, and Randy (Janean) Meggs, all of Huntingdon; eight grandchildren, Ethan (Ellie) Benson, Ashton (Jordan) Lee, Grace, Olivia, and Samuel Angelos, Jack, Chase, and Lonnie Mayfield.

Pallbearers who served were Samuel Angelos, Jack and Chase Mayfield, Jeremy Price, Matthew McMinn, Kevin and Timmy Meggs, and Jason Gentry.
