Library Receives $2,000 Donation

On July 18th, Little General presented a check for $2,000 to Carroll County Library in support of the library’s Summer Reading Program. From left are pictured library Assistant Director Denise Coleman, Children’s Librarian Grace Hawkins, Library Director Erin Crockett, and Little General manager Hollye Goodrum. Little General has shown continued support of the Carroll County Library’s Summer Reading Program to help encourage summer-long reading and promote literacy within the community. During the program the library encourages reading by donating a book to the Carl Perkins Center in accordance with the number of books or hours read. The donation will help provide these books, to go towards Summer Programming, and help provide children’s backpacks and school supplies for the Summer Reading Grand Finale Back to School.
