Joyce Marbury Richardson
Hamilton, 74, of Paris, died
on Wednesday, April 8, at
Henry County Medical
Center. Due to Covid-19
Guidelines, a private
graveside service was held at
Hillcrest Cemetery on April
- Dale Joyner officiated.
Mrs. Hamilton was born on
June 30, 1945, in
Brownsville, to the late H.B.
and Margaret Marbury. She
grew up in Brownsville, and
moved to Huntingdon, while
in high school. She graduated
from Huntingdon High
School in 1963 and attended
the University of Tennessee
at Martin. She lived in Paris;
St. Louis, MO; and Arlington,
TX. She had a successful
career as a real estate agent
until her retirement in 2013.
She was a member of First
Baptist Church in Paris. In
addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by
her daughter, Deidre Carol
Hartsfield of Paris, and her
previous husband of 27
years, Donald Richardson of
Arlington, TX.
She is survived by her
husband, Jimmy Hamilton;
two sisters, Sara Marbury
Townsend of Huntingdon
and Marie Marbury of
Camden; one stepdaughter,
Tammy (Tom) Blackburn of
Paris; two grandchildren, and
two great-grandchildren.
She also leaves three nieces,
one nephew, two great
nieces, and two great
nephews.
