Josie Bartholomew

Josie “Top” Bartholomew, 92, of Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, August 18, at Henderson County Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 21 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with Phillip Halter and Tim Maness officiating. Burial followed at New Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Bartholomew was born on October 5, 1928, in Carroll County, to the late Billy Wall and Maggie Kirby Wall. She was a lifelong member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Faye Bartholomew; her daughter, Dianna Bartholomew; and a sister, Kathleen “Tip” Taylor.
She is survived by daughter, Sharon (Lant) Wood of Wildersville; two sons, Roger “Doc” (Tammy) Bartholomew and Bruce Bartholomew, both of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Tonya (Justin) Whitaker, Bethanie (Curtis) Burton, and Drew (Hannah) Wood; and three great-grandchildren, Beau Whitaker, Finley Whitaker, and Waylon Wood.
