Johnny Ray Bartholomew, 73 of Huntingdon passed away Tuesday, January 25 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 29 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Kevin Bromley and Phillip Halters officiating. Burial followed in Hickory Flat Cemetery.
Mr. Bartholomew was born November 8, 1948, in Huntingdon to the late John Maxwell Bartholomew and Ray Nell
(Richardson) Bartholomew. He was a retired electrician for DuPont and a member of Huntingdon Missionary
Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter; April Carrington (Brandon) of Parsons, a brother; James Sidney Bartholomew
(Wanda) of Clarksburg, a nephew; Shamus Bartholomew (Dee) of Cedar Grove and three grandchildren; Jacob
Allen, Jase Allen and AnnaBelle Carrington.
Pallbearers who served were Don Bartholomew, Shamus Bartholomew, Bruce Bartholomew, Bendell
Bartholomew, Teddy Bartholomew and Dale Bartholomew. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Bartholomew,
Neal Bartholomew, Kenneth Halters and Kyle Halters.
