John W. Holt

John W. Holt, 56, was delivered into the arms of his Lord Sunday, January 31. Oh, how the angels sang! A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, May 15, at 11 a.m.at Palmer Shelter Church with Jim Holt officiating. Following the service, there will be a dinner for the family and friends at the church to celebrate John’s life.
Mr. Holt was born on February 14, 1964, in Urbana, Ill., to the late Jim and Marjorie Holt. His family then moved to Huntingdon, where he grew up and graduated from Huntingdon High School. John’s fondest memories were spent at Kentucky Lake hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and was truly happiest when he was in the woods. John loved his family and was deeply loved by all.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Neal (Alick) and Allie (Annie) Rich Holt, his maternal grandparents, Daisy and Cliff Bisch, a brother, Jimmie Holt, a niece, Angie Davis, a stepson, Larry E. Gaut, and his aunt and uncle, Ruthie and Enos Stanley.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife,  Lisa Tatum Holt, and their children and grandchildren; his sister,  Brenda (Jeff) Pembor, and their son, Travis McClain; his sister,  Betsy and her children, Skyler (Justin) Miller and Adam Avenenti; his great-great nephew,  Hayden Miller, and many dear friends and loving cousins,  as well as,  his fur-babies Charlie, Lily, TT and Lil Bit.
