Joan Seiber

Joan Seiber age 73 of Milan, formerly of Bruceton, died Friday, Oct. 18 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She retired as a seamstress, who enjoyed sewing, and formerly enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers. Joan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bruceton.

 Joan was born April 8, 1946, to the late Luther Willie Bobbitt and the late Katherine Lyles Bobbitt. She married to Charlie Seiber February 1, 1974, who preceded her in death on July 26, 2003.

 She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (David) Underwood of Paris and Charlotte (Charles) Brown of Milan; one son, Wayne Cay “Cutter” (Tina) Lawrence of Buchanan; two sisters, Jean (Larry) Gwin of Eva and Selena Gilbert of Kansas City, KS; one brother, Luther “Top” (Lola) Bobbitt of Camden; and nine grandchildren, Kylie Underwood, Darby Underwood, Christopher Ferguson, Wade Ferguson, Grant Ferguson, Emma Brown, Logan Brown, Sean Brown, and Aidan Brown.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Travis Bobbitt and Terry Lee Bobbitt.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris 38242: Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 20 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Robert Simmons officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Sandy Point Cemetery in Camden. Memorials may be made to the Joan Seiber Family c/o Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., P.O. Box 788, Paris 38242.
