Jimmy C. Springer

Jimmy “Jim” Clark Springer, 74, of Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon is in charge.

Mr. Springer was born July 25, 1946, in Huntingdon, to the late James Springer and Gladys Gooch Springer.  He worked at Bethel University as a Professor of sociology and was a long-time social worker at Carey Counseling Center.  He was a successful sportsman and his favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, horse farrier, and field trial trainer for championship dogs.

He is survived by a daughter, Lainie (Michelle) Springer, of New Paltz, N. Y.; and a son, David (Maria Jose’) Springer, of Nashville.
