Jewell Beatrice Simpson, 85 of Huntingdon passed away Sunday, January 23 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 27 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Fred Newman and Dale Price officiating. Burial followed in Sellers Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Simpson was born July 23, 1936, in Huntingdon, to the late George Everett and Florence (Wiles) Eskew. She was a homemaker and a member of Chickasaw Drive Church of Christ. Beside her parents she was also preceded in death by one daughter; Rose Wilson, one great great granddaughter; Palmer Bolton, nine brothers and sisters; George Arthur Eskew, Darrell Lynn Eskew, Virgie Lou McMinn, Robert Wayne Eskew, Gaylon Monroe Eskew, Betty Joyce Crider, Ivy Jane Davis Callison, Justin Kenneth Eskew, and Mildred Marie Walls.
She is survived by four sons; Dennis Simpson (Ruth), David (Shrimp) Simpson, Billy Simpson (Vicki), Mark
Simpson (Robin), son-in-law; Billy Wilson all of Huntingdon. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, thirty-three
great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers who will serve are Ethan Peevyhouse, Dwayne Walls, Timmy Hampton, Tim McMinn, Danny Davis,
and Travis Whiteside.
