James Cooper

James “Larry” Cooper, 71, of Drummonds, passed away on Wednesday, September 22 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Tipton. Funeral services were held on Friday, September 24 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with Randall Woods officiating. Burial followed at Jamison Cemetery.

Mr. Cooper was born on December 22, 1949, in Milan, to the late James Cooper and Brooxie Vernel Cooper. He was a member of Barren Springs Presbyterian Church, a US Navy veteran, and a member of Masonic Lodge #226 in Munford. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, and watching NASCAR racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Ronald Cooper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years; Peggy Cooper of Drummonds, two step-sons; Brian Heath (Autumn) Bridges of Adairsville, GA., and Seth Ray (Jessica) Bridges of Brighton, four brothers; Michael Cooper, Eddie Cooper, Tim Cooper, and Stanley Cooper all of Camden, and five grandchildren; Annie Kay Bridges, Elin Bridges, Kamryn Bridges, Katelynn Bridges and Kyndal Bridges.
