ICED OVER

Carroll County turned icy Thursday following a rain that lasted throughout the day. Trees and power lines were covered in ice as the result. Carroll County schools were closed Thursday and Friday and some governmental offices did not open on Thursday. Carroll County Electric manager Danny Brawner said  power outages were scattered over the county with some 500 customers affected. By Thursday night the majority of the power had been restored. The electric company’s McKenzie work crew assisted Weakley County Municipal Electric with restoring the power outages through the weekend. Photo by Ray Nanney.
