Hydro-Gear to bring 375 jobs to Carroll Co.

Carroll County will soon be the home of the newest facility of Hydro-Gear, and 375 new jobs, according to an announcement made Tuesday afternoon at The Dixie.

Anticipation of the announcement had the Hal Holbrook Theatre filled to capacity as dignitaries including Governor Bill Lee, TECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe, Carroll County Mayor Joseph Butler, Huntingdon Industrial Board Chairman Mike Cary, and Carroll County Chamber of Commerce President Brad Hurley spoke about the work leading up to the project.

Hydro-Gear president and CEO Ray Hauser spoke on behalf of the company. Hauser said that Hydro-Gear plans to begin operations here as early as September of this year and will soon begin the process of interviewing potential employees.
