Theft, Trespassing
•Shelby Nicole Mahr, 29, of Camden was charged with theft of property and criminal trespassing on Sept. 11, and then an additional charge of burglary was added on Nov. 11.
According to reports by Officers Zachery Baker and Richard Crossno, Mahr was charged on Sept. 11 after she was allegedly caught stealing $37.78 in items from Walmart in Huntingdon after being warned not to be on the property. Further investigation revealed that Mahr had been banned from multiple Walmart stores at various locations, which prompted the addition of the burglary charge.

Theft
•Bryston Diggs, 20, of Huntingdon was charged with theft under $1,000 on Sept. 26 in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Labe Ezell, Diggs was apprehended by Walmart security after failing to scan $16.01 in merchandise in the self-checkout aisle and attempting to leave the store without paying for the items. The items were recovered undamaged, so no restitution is due. Diggs and a woman who was with him were both banned from Walmart.

Joyriding
•A warrant for joyriding has been issued against Kieyren Arzelle Jordan, 18, of Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Labe Ezell, Jordan’s father told officers on Oct. 30 that he had been allowing his son to use his vehicle to commute back and forth to work, but he said that Jordan recently quit his job and his been using the vehicle to sell marijuana. The father said he has contacted his son numerous times to try to get the vehicle back, but his son has stopped answering his calls. Ezell contacted Jordan by phone, and Jordan claimed that he had given his father money for use of the vehicle. At one point in the conversation, Jordan told Ezell, “Ya’ll are just gonna have to catch me,” and hung up on the officer. An advisory regarding the vehicle has been issued for authorities in West Tennessee.

High Speed Pursuit
•Rockel O. Humphrey, 32, of Jackson was charged with fleeing/eluding/evading police, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license following a Nov. 3 high speed pursuit in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Aaron Patton, after receiving a call about a reckless driver, he observed a silver Chevy Malibu driven by Patton traveling between 80 and 90 mph on Highway 70. Patton tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed on Veterans Drive, reaching speeds up to 100 mph and running the four-way stop at the Lexington Street intersection. The vehicle turned onto Buena Vista Road, and after going a short distance, the vehicle was rendered inoperable. Patton fled on foot but was apprehended after an extended foot pursuit.

•Gevin Daniel Courtney, 22, of Martin was cited for driving on a suspended license and speeding during a Nov. 8 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Aaron Patton, he pulled over a silver Infinity driven by Courtney after clocking the vehicle at 78 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 22 South. A computer check showed that Courtney’s license was suspended.

License Violation, Speeding
•Stephanie Nicole Smith, 29, of Huntingdon was cited for driving on a suspended license and speeding during a Nov. 12 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Brad Allen, he pulled over a vehicle driven by Smith after clocking the vehicle at 57 mph in a 35 mph zone on Lexington Street. Smith told Allen that her license was suspended, and Allen confirmed this by computer.

High Speed Pursuit
•Dimitri Markel Nance, 28, of Dyersburg was charged with felony evading arrest, speeding, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, and driving on a suspended license (third offense) following a Nov. 14 high speed pursuit in Huntingdon and McKenzie.
According to the report by Officer Aaron Patton, he attempted to pull over a silver Nissan Maxima driven by Nance after clocking the vehicle at 73 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 22 South, but the vehicle sped away and turned north onto Lexington Street. Patton lost sight of the vehicle for a time but then spotted it heading northbound in the southbound lane on Highway 22 toward McKenzie. Patton noted that the vehicle reached speeds up to 110 mph and passed by two vehicle going the other way in that lane. McKenzie police officers cornered the vehicle in the parking lot of McKenzie High School, and Nance and two passengers were taken into custody. Patton detected the smell of marijuana in the vehicle, and what appeared to be loose pieces of marijuana were scattered around the car’s interior. Nance was found to be in possession of $300 in cash, and one of the passengers had $1,000 in cash. A computer check revealed that Nance’s license was suspended.

Multiple Charges
•Billy Toler, 30, of Trezevant was charged with evading arrest, theft under $1,000, and unlawful possession of a firearm, and Kelsey Schenk McKee, 24, of Huntingdon was charged with theft of property under $1,000, both on Nov. 20 in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Richard Crossno, he responded to a call about two shoplifters attempting to leave Walmart in Huntingdon with stolen merchandise. Upon arrival, store security pointed to a man and a woman in the parking lot. The man, later identified as Toler, threw something into a vehicle and then fled on foot into a thicket behind a nearby business. Toler was soon spotted by a sheriff’s deputy and then taken into custody by several officers. Walmart security advised officers that Toller and a female companion, identified as McKee, had taken $92.94 in items and would not stop when approached by security personnel. Officers searched the vehicle, which belonged to McKee, and found a .380 pistol. McKee told officers that the pistol did not belong to her and that she had seen it in Toler’s possession, though she said she thought it was a toy gun. A criminal history check showed that Toler was a convicted felon.

•Brittany Hill, 29, of McKenzie was cited for theft under $1,000 on Nov. 20 in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Richard Crossno, he and another officer responded to a call about a theft at Walmart. Walmart security advised the officers that Hill, who had allegedly failed to scan items in the self-checkout line, was not being cooperative. In the course of the investigation, officers determined that Hill had not paid for $40.40 in merchandise. The items were returned to the store.

•Donyale Blackwell, 33, and Montavious Williamson, 30, both of Jackson, were both cited for theft under $1,000 on Nov. 20 in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Richard Crossno, Blackwell and Williamson allegedly returned items to Walmart in Huntingdon and received a gift card in the amount of $375.55 for these items. Walmart security then discovered that these items had been stolen from another Walmart store. The gift card was returned, along with the stolen items.
