Criminal Trespassing

•Elfy L. McCorry of Huntingdon was cited for criminal trespassing at Walmart on Oct. 2.

According to the report by Officer Kodie Edwards, he responded to a call about a possible shoplifter at Walmart, and upon arrival, he found McCorry being questioned by store security. No stolen items were found in McCorry’s possession, but Edwards noted that McCorry had been instructed by officers not to come back on the property on previous occasions. McCorry was cited and escorted off the property.

Theft

•Elfy L. McCorry of Huntingdon was cited for theft of merchandise under $1,000 on Oct. 4.

According to the report by Officer Kodie Edwards, he responded to a call about a shoplifter at Little General in Huntingdon on Oct. 3. The suspect was no longer at the store when Edwards arrived, but video surveillance allegedly showed McCorry taking eight lighters valued together at $19.02 from the store without paying for them. Officers found McCorry on Oct. 4 at a High Street address.

License Violation

•Cokie Nell Sweat of Savannah was cited for driving on a suspended license during an Oct. 5 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer Brad Allen, he pulled over a car driven by Sweat on after clocking the vehicle going 75 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 22 South. A computer check revealed that Sweat’s license was suspended.

Theft

•Nathaniel Lee Noah of McKenzie was cited for theft of merchandise under $1,000 on Sept. 25 at Walmart.

According to the report by Officer Brad Allen, he responded to a call about a shoplifter at Walmart. Store security advised Allen that Noah attempted to leave the store with a pair of sunglasses valued at $19.46 without paying for this item.
